Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry We are currently seeking an AssociateStructural Engineerto join our team as a member of our Engineering and Design division. The Associate Engineer position is a mix of brains and brawn. They play the role of day-to-day project manager, ensuring project budget and quality targets are met. As a team leader, their technical expertise allows them to be a technical contributor as well as a mentor for junior staff. This position builds upon an engineer's technical expertise and adds project management responsibilities. Because of our design, build, operate, and maintain (DBOM) process, McKinstry engineers concern themselves not just with the construction of a building, but how it will operate over its entire lifetime. Every design choice is made toward one goal - delivering high-performance buildings that ensure occupant comfort and safety, keep energy/operating costs low, maximize client profitability, and protect the environment.Responsibilities include:
Contribute to the successful delivery of projects across various offerings, verticals, and clients. Act as the project manager and lead/senior engineer on a wide array of projects. Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and deliver best-in-class designs. Assist with strategic initiatives within the Engineering & Design group as assigned. Participate in all phases of project planning and execution to ensure seamless delivery. Prepare comprehensive proposals that align scopes of work with client needs and budgets. Lead sales efforts with internal and external clients for engineering work, including developing engineering fees & writing proposals. Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with customers to support project and business success.
