  • $115,000 + Bonus + Benefits A well-established heavy civil general contractor in the Portland metro area is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact work across water/wastewater, underground utilities, and site development projects, while gaining exposure to experienced leadership and long-term career growth. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Track project costs, budgets, and schedule progress Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders Support field operations to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence Maintain accurate project records and reporting systems Experience Needed 1-5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction Exposure to projects involving: Underground utilities (water, sewer, storm) Site development or earthwork Water/wastewater treatment facilities (preferred) Experience supporting public works or DOT-related projects is a plus Familiarity with project management workflows, documentation, and field coordination Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, or similar) Working knowledge of plans, specs, and construction documentation EIT certification is a plus but not required Benefits Competitive base salary ($85K
