Senior Geotechnical Engineer Portland Metro Area Overview A well-established geotechnical consulting firm is looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to its Portland team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from investigation through construction, working across a diverse mix of commercial, residential, and infrastructure work throughout the region. Why This Role Strong pipeline of local, long-term projects Ownership in firm after 6 months of service High level of ownership across the full project lifecycle Opportunity to mentor junior staff and influence project delivery Collaborative, tight-knit team environment with real growth potential Comprehensive benefits including health coverage, retirement plan, PTO, and bonuses What You'll Do Lead and coordinate site investigations and geotechnical studies Oversee construction monitoring and field activities Prepare and review technical reports and recommendations Support design and analysis alongside internal engineering teams Mentor junior engineers and support team development What We're Looking For 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred) Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required Strong background in site investigation, fieldwork, and reporting Organized, self-driven, and comfortable managing multiple projects Location Portland metro area Projects primarily across Oregon and Southwest Washington We're looking forward to connecting with strong potential candidates!
