Job Description
Description A Commissioning Project Engineer supports the delivery of data center capacity through managing project milestone auditing, calibration, and commissioning execution for new construction and Capital Improvement Projects (CIPP).
Physical Requirements:
- Walk job sites in uneven terrain
- Work at heights and from ladders
- Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Lift and/or move up to 49 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more
- Work in a noisy environment
- Work in environments that are colder or hotter than a normal office environment
- Work shifts longer than eight hours in duration with potential for night and weekends

- 12-month minimum timeline to advance to Commissioning Engineer (CxE) role

Work Environment:
- Data center environment and construction sites
- Lead and participate in meetings with various stakeholders including contractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Mix of administrative and technical duties AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
- Manage project milestone auditing and calibration with partner teams
- Create and maintain Procore tooling for project setup and tracking
- Develop and implement Modeled Change Management (MCM)
- Manage commissioning vendor (CxA) relationships and deliverables
- Track and report project metrics and observations
- Create Scope of Work (SOW) documents
- Support commissioning execution for Phase 1 and Follow-on Room (FOR) projects
- Coordinate with stakeholders across data center regions About the team Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience
- Experience in vendor management
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment
- Experience in data center engineering or operations Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction or project management experience
- Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License
- operating engineering license such as
DC II, DC
