Job description Evercrest Construction Group LLC is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer to support our residential renovation and rebuild projects on an ongoing, on-call basis. We need an engineer who can start immediately and provide professional, permit-ready structural guidance, drawings, and stamped documentation where required. We're looking to build a long-term working relationship with an engineer we can call on as structural issues arise across projects. Our immediate needs may include a foundation wall rebuild, front porch rebuild, interior framing repairs, and review of a proposed wall removal — but this is just one example of the work we'll bring you. The ideal candidate is properly licensed and comfortable preparing drawings, details, reports, and recommendations suitable for permit submission and field use. We value accuracy, code compliance, and field-ready details, and we're looking for an engineer who is comfortable taking professional responsibility for their structural recommendations and stamped documentation. Responsibilities Review residential properties for structural concerns: foundation walls, porch structures, framing defects, load-bearing walls, beams, headers, and repairs. Prepare structural repair details, drawings, reports, and stamped plans when required. Provide clear, field-ready instructions our construction team can follow. Advise on safe, code-compliant repair methods before work begins. Assist with permit documentation and respond to reasonable permit comments. Perform site visits when needed and provide written recommendations. Current project example We currently need engineering support for a residential renovation that may include: Foundation wall rebuild (approximately 15 ft) Front porch rebuild Interior framing repairs in select sections Review of a proposed wall removal/opening Recommendations for any hidden structural issues found during renovation We're ready to move quickly and would like to connect with a qualified engineer who can start as soon as possible. Requirements Licensed Professional Engineer (or qualified licensed engineer authorized to perform structural engineering work). Able to provide proof of active license. Experience with residential renovation, structural repair, foundations, framing, and load-bearing walls preferred. Able to produce clear drawings, details, and written recommendations. Comfortable preparing stamped drawings when required. Committed to accurate, code-compliant work suitable for real construction. Professional communicator with reasonable response times. Compensation Pay is $75•125/hour depending on license, experience, location, availability, and scope. Fixed project pricing is also available for specific assignments — site visits, structural reports, foundation and porch repair details, stamped drawings, and permit revisions.
