Structural Engineer - Project Level

Structural Engineer - Project Level Taylor Structural Engineers, Inc. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Taylor Structural Engineers is currently seeking project manager level structural engineers with a background in Revit (BIM) modeling. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to work on all aspects of building structural design on a variety of project types including commercial, institutional, multi-family residential and industrial. Applicants should have a BSCE or BSAE degree with an emphasis on structural building design, successfully passed the PE or SE exam, 6-10 years of on-the-job experience in the structural design industry (with emphasis on building structures), and a familiarity with building codes and material standards associated with structural design. Self-motivated applicants with strong communication skills, an interest in the building design profession and Revit modeling are encouraged to apply.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of structural engineering design for assigned projects under the direction/support of a firm principal. Revit (BIM) modeling of structural design. Interface Revit (BIM) modeling with engineering software (Tekla Structural Designer). Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines' design and modeling changes. Follow company standards for BIM content and development procedures. Interact with clients on design coordination throughout all phases of the design process. Interact with clients and contractors throughout the construction period project life cycle.
