Must-Haves B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree 7-10 years of relevant engineering experience in municipal or land development projects Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania (required) Proven background in: Municipal engineering and client representation Subdivision and land development plan review Stormwater and drainage plan review MS-4 programs, including Pollution Reduction Plans (PRPs) Public works design Strong written and verbal communication skills for client presentations and municipal meetings AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred What You'll Do You'll serve as Township or Borough Engineer , becoming the go-to technical advisor for municipal clients across Pennsylvania. Your role goes beyond design work. You'll attend municipal meetings, present technical findings, and build lasting relationships with community leaders who rely on your expertise to guide responsible growth. You'll lead the review of development plans for compliance with subdivision, zoning, grading, and stormwater regulations, ensuring projects align with local ordinances and community goals. From there, you'll manage escrow accounts, oversee construction administration , and coordinate with developers, contractors, and agencies to keep projects moving forward. On the technical side, you'll design stormwater systems and detention basins, oversee infrastructure rehabilitation projects , and prepare permitting packages for state and local approval. Your work will include producing detailed engineering reports, feasibility studies , and technical assessments that inform critical municipal decisions. Throughout construction, you'll provide contract administration, permitting oversight, budget tracking , and project coordination, supporting contractors and clients to ensure quality outcomes. You'll also identify opportunities to expand services and contribute to business development , strengthening the firm's presence in municipal and utility engineering.
