Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking Project Engineers to join our Bridges & Structures team in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Jersey! This position has the potential for remote work within these states. Our bridge experts partner with our clients to understand project objectives, while formulating solutions that result in successful outcomes that are safe, efficient, economical and sensitive to the environment. This highly skilled team of professionals offers a full range of bridge services from scoping, planning and preliminary engineering through final design, for small to large scale bridges. Responsibilities Apply broad knowledge of bridge engineering principles and practices.
Evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
Design complete projects, systems, components or processes.
Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
Prepare complete project documents.
Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.
Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedule assignments.
Assist with proposal development for professional services.
Perform field investigations/site visits as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
5+ years of bridge structural design experience required.
EIT (Engineer in Training) certification required; PE licensed or working towards licensure preferred.
Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads; Civil3D is a plus.
Knowledge of DOT and AASHTO design codes required; knowledge of AREMA design codes is a plus.
Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
