Position Overview CBM Consulting is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to take on meaningful production and project management responsibilities within a close-knit, multi-disciplinary environment — working on a diverse portfolio of private sector land development projects from entitlement through construction. Responsibilities The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the production, management, and quality control of civil design and construction plan deliverables, including oversight and mentorship of junior engineers, designers, and draftspersons.

Project work may include:

Subdivision geometry and grade establishment Roadway design and construction plans Stormwater management design Storm drain, water, and sewer systems Floodplain studies and technical reports In addition to production responsibilities, this position requires direct interaction with clients, regulatory agencies, and decision makers. The successful candidate will be expected to identify and apply applicable land development codes, standards, review processes, and procedures to successfully navigate the regulatory entitlement process across our primary market areas. Qualifications 2-10 years of experience in civil design production and/or project management in a land development context Demonstrated experience with technical design, drafting, plan review, and quality control oversight Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure preferred; candidates with the ability to obtain licensure in the near term are encouraged to apply Familiarity with land development regulations, review processes, and entitlement procedures in Montgomery, Frederick, or Prince George's County is strongly preferred Why CBM Our structure is intentionally lean and collaborative. Pay:

$72,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
