Limited; as needed Must be US citizen Astrion is seeking a Dynamics Analyst to support current and future development programs with NASA and commercial space companies. Our loads and dynamics group specializes in engineering and software services for government (NASA and DoD) and commercial applications. Astrion is a key team member supporting Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in the development of the Space Launch System (SLS). We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team supporting the development of integrated vehicle loads for the
NASA SLS
vehicle. This position may be eligible for a Hybrid work schedule ; part of employee's work schedule is required to be on-site at Astrion facilities in Huntsville, AL.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university 5-10 years of experience in static and structural dynamics analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles, or a combination of experience and advanced degrees (MS, PhD) Resident of the greater Huntsville area in north Alabama or willing to relocate Willingness to travel up to 5% of time Candidate must be a US citizen
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
: Experience with Matlab, Python, C, C++ or other programming language to support creation of in-house tools and scripts Familiarity with NASA and/or commercial spaceflight programs and requirements Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks Ability to communicate effectively with management and the customer
RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Performing structural dynamic analyses for spacecraft flight hardware. Performing loads development (primary structure and component level), shock and vibration environments determination and data evaluation. Generating detailed analysis reports and presenting/communicating those results with the customer #CJ #LI-CK1
