Job Title:

5G (Home Ready) Construction Engineer

Location:

Rolling Meadows, IL

Duration:

6 Months, possible extension

HYBRID:

3 days in office, 2 days remote. This position will have a lot of field time. (+60%)

Targeted Years of Experience:

5-7

Years Responsibilities:

Hands-on experience with the design and install of equipment used in transmitting broadband data over in-building networks Hands-on experience with coax, twisted pair copper or fiber optic cabling and complex networks as well as switching equipment Experience with coordinating installation of new in-building networks or equipment Ability to evaluate multi-tenant (residence and business) buildings to determine compatibility with different networks and systems Experience with managing large build projects involving broadband services, and ensure timely planning and implementation Experience with producing technical as-built documentation Ability to provide general ad-hoc operational support for local field engineering and sales teams

Responsibilities:

Manage construction activities related to the development of multiple, simultaneous Network infrastructure projects. Provide financial management of projects from initial proposal/bid through receipt of final product or service including. Daily activities include schedule and financial management as well as interfacing with vendors via calls and meetings. Must have attention to detail, sense of urgency and wireless network (cell site) construction experience as well as technical aptitude with computers to navigate tools.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

General knowledge & experience with the design and install of in-building network architectures General work area hazard identification & prevention Knowledge & experience with CATV provider termination points (e.g., terminals, pedestals) Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting coax and Cat6a Ethernet cabling Must possess a vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment Hands-on experience working off of ladders (step/extension/folding) Hands-on experience with drilling in multiple dwelling/commercial buildings Frontline experience with working with customer/clients

DESIRED SKILLS

Knowledge & experience with Google Suite and other computer and mobility based applications A four-year college degree or equivalent field experience Experience with working on multiple dwelling/commercial building rooftops (flat and/or pitched)
