Moore Job Title Engineer Job Requisition 21323.29.4 Salary $105,914.00 per Year Job Location 300 South Orange, Orlando, FL 32801 Job Duties Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures while using judgment when making minor adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specific objectives and require investigation of a limited number of variables. Responsible for designing specific system components for the overall design effort. Performs design calculations, prepares equipment or material specifications, and provides direction to technical support or drafting personnel. Coordinates all activities with project/design manager, team members, and other design engineers. Communicates and coordinates with clients, consultants and team members to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and expectations. Analyzes designs or reviews project specifications and interprets applicable codes and industry standards. Determines project, design, and construction requirements (e.g., beam size, column size, grading, drainage, etc.). Coordinates and guides preparation of construction documents with drafters, modelers, designers, clients, and internal quality control staff. Spotchecks calculations and back-checks plan mark-ups and completed drafting. Guides/assists other engineers regarding issues such as codes, design criteria, and software. Reviews project specifications. Adheres to appropriate federal/state/local regulations. Designs project lay-out and details using appropriate design software. Assists with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports, proposals and other project deliverables. Actively participate in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image. Assist Project Manager with coordination of team members, review of project financials. Utilize advanced technologies, including advanced finite element software, to diagnose problems and to build models for the design of retrofits, and to document existing conditions and diagnose structural and waterproofing problem conditions in existing structures. Perform and lead field investigations using state-of-the-art technology to document existing conditions of existing building, including non-destructive testing. May telecommute. Job Requirements Employer will accept a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural or Architectural Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an Engineer-related occupation. Position requires some experience in the following skills: Building restoration, parking rehabilitation, Structural repair and renovation, building enclosure engineering and forensic engineering work; Structural assessment and construction administration visits;
Drafting Software:
Revit and AutoCAD; - Analysis and design of steel, concrete, wood and masonry structural components; Structural Analysis and Design Software:
SAP2000, TEDDS, SAFE, ADAPT-PTRC, RAM
Connections, RAM Structural System, and Hilti Profis Engineering; - MathCAD and Microsoft Excel Foreign Language, Licenses, and Certifications Professional Engineer License issued from any U.S. state required.
