Your impact We're looking for a Field Project Engineer in Albany, NY who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our Life Science / Biopharmaceutical business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art life saving production and research facilities. You'll assist with the coordination of projects including, guidance of all technical design, scheduling and budgetary performance, design quality, and safety. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will develop and deliver small- and large-scale capital projects. This position will directly reporting to the Project Manager for assisting with engineering, technical specifications necessary to acquire equipment and materials, understanding and abilities for field engineering issues and the technical bid evaluations to procure equipment. Some of the responsibilities will include to assist process engineering department with:
Primary:
Learn, understand and review equipment specification/operations of pharmaceutical equipment such as filling, packaging, inspection, labeling, parts washing, etc Verifying technical specifications, vendor submittals, and actual vendor HMI information on equipment so that all EXACTLY match to avoid deviations during quality review Confirm in field operations of equipment match expectations from documentation Assist in FAT / SAT and equipment startup Tracking of equipment and parts Run technical meetings, develop action lists and drive actions to completion
Secondary:
Perform process system studies and analysis Support manufacturing activities Troubleshooting of systems Debottlenecking Review weekly/monthly reports on status and progress changes. Here's what you'll need BS Degree in Engineering, Construction, or other equivalent discipline At least 2 years of experience in engineering, technical construction field role, preferably in a pharma/bio environment. Excellent communication skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment.
Job location:
Albany, NY 40+hrs/week onsite work schedule with short periods of remote possible Ideally, you'll also have: Ability to understand drawing and equipment document information Ability to understand engineering reports, notes and directions Ability to understand construction reports, notes and directions Experience on-site at a pharmaceutical plant (or something similar) preferred Be a safety leader through example and compliance Strong organizational skills Support project delivery efforts; i.e., cost, schedule, quality, etc. Manage the design checking procedures Participate in design progress measurement reviews #LifeSciences, #Bio/Pharma, #EPCMV, #globallifescience, #Construction #LI-SH1

And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $69,500.00 to $118,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
