Junior Project Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Project Engineer to support experienced Heavy Civil Construction Project Managers to help plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will help organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers, owners, subcontractors, vendors and colleagues to complete projects efficiently and safely
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, change orders and meeting minutes
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards
• Communicate with the Project Management team and provide support for the daily workflow of the department
• Prepare business communications, recurring reports and similar correspondence
• Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions and perform clerical duties

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Effective time management skills with keen attention to detail
• An understanding of construction procedures and familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project or Construction Project Management
• Exposure to bridge inspection or construction site work
• Knowledge of materials such as steel, concreate and prestressed systems

Pay:

$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
