Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Project Engineer to support experienced Heavy Civil Construction Project Managers to help plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will help organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers, owners, subcontractors, vendors and colleagues to complete projects efficiently and safely
Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, change orders and meeting minutes
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards
Communicate with the Project Management team and provide support for the daily workflow of the department
Prepare business communications, recurring reports and similar correspondence
Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions and perform clerical duties
Required Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills
Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Effective time management skills with keen attention to detail
An understanding of construction procedures and familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Project or Construction Project Management
Exposure to bridge inspection or construction site work
Knowledge of materials such as steel, concreate and prestressed systems
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
