As a Municipal Project Engineer, you will serve as a dedicated representative to township and borough clients, ensuring the communities you support grow responsibly, sustainably, and in full compliance with regulations. From reviewing land development plans to leading stormwater design and managing public works initiatives, your work will directly contribute to safer, smarter, more resilient communities. Key Responsibilities Municipal Engagement & Representation Serve as Township or Borough Engineer, providing direct client support
Attend municipal meetings and present technical findings with clarity and confidence
Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term municipal relationships Project Management & Plan Review Lead review of development plans for compliance with local ordinances related to:
Subdivision & Land Development
Zoning
Grading
Stormwater
Manage escrow accounts, oversee construction administration, and coordinate with stakeholders Engineering Design & Technical Work Design stormwater systems and detention basins
Oversee infrastructure rehabilitation projects
Prepare permitting packages for state and local agencies
Produce detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering assessments Construction & Administrative Support Provide contract administration, permitting oversight, budget tracking, and project coordination
Support contractors, clients, and internal teams throughout construction phases Client & Business Development Actively contribute to municipal account management
Identify opportunities to expand services and drive growth in municipal and utility engineering
Support strategic initiatives to enhance regional presence
Qualifications:
Requirements B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent
7-10 years of relevant engineering experience
ground in:
Municipal Engineering
Municipal Client Representation
Subdivision & Land Development Plan Review
Stormwater / Drainage Plan Review
MS-4 Programs (including PRPs)
Public Works Design
AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania (required)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
