Job Summary:
XEC is looking for a Project Engineer to join our growing team of design enthusiasts and engineering professionals. Your role at XEC will include project design from preliminary studies through construction administration and project closeout, providing leadership and technical training to junior staff and playing an instrumental role in contributing to the health and growth of our business. You will provide technical designs and oversight, prepare engineering plans, work with project managers and junior staff and handle a substantial workload of diverse tasks.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead project design for multiple projects.
  • Identify design criteria, plan and execute effective designs.
  • Plan, organize and supervise project activities.
  • Advise staff on land development operations and project-specific tasks.
  • Ensure tasks are completed and schedules are met.
  • Provide solutions to design challenges.
  • Supervise preparation of and when needed, prepare technical reports; and
  • Assist with technical tasks such as site investigation, due diligence, utility research, conceptual drawings, site grading/earthwork analysis, utility system design, WQMP/LID reports, feasibility analyses, site layout and stormwater management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.

  • Proven ability to successfully work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Flexible to accommodate changing needs of the company, clients, employees and/or projects.

  • Proven ability to successfully work in a fast pace high pressure work environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of civil engineering experience
  • Engineer in
Training Certification Requirements:
  • Ability to work remotely (high-speed internet, dedicated work space, etc.)
  • PE preferred
Required:
expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu.
    Preferred:
    experience in hydrology and drainage software including CivilDesign, Street Design, and Plan Preparation.
