Job Description

About the Role My client is a large, established engineering and construction focused organisation with a national footprint and thousands of employees across offices, manufacturing facilities, and operational sites throughout the U.S. The business is recognised for its long term investment in people, technical training, and career progression, offering engineers exposure to complex, real world infrastructure and ground engineering challenges. They are seeking a Project Engineer to support their ground improvement and geotechnical solutions business serving the Great Lakes region. This is a remote based role, ideal for an early career to mid level geotechnical or civil engineer looking to deepen their technical expertise while working closely with field, design, and operations teams on active projects. Key Responsibilities Work closely with regional engineering leaders, area managers, and licensed partners to provide project specific technical guidance for feasibility and bid support Perform engineering analyses and contribute to design reviews for ground improvement and foundation solutions Prepare and review engineering calculations, providing technical direction with limited supervision Support internal design review teams with slope stability and geotechnical analyses for project designs Troubleshoot construction challenges and resolve design related issues during execution Review and approve ground improvement system designs, including Rammed Aggregate Pier (RAP) solutions Prepare and deliver technical presentations for internal teams, clients, and external workshops Collaborate cross functionally to ensure designs align with constructability and field conditions Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience in a geotechnical or structural engineering role Strong understanding of soil mechanics and structural loading conditions Experience reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents Proficiency in engineering software such as Auto
CAD, SLIDE, SLOPE
‑W, Settle 3D, and Microsoft Office tools Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with internal teams and external partners Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing tasks from concept through completion Comfortable working remotely while supporting regional project teams Education & Credentials BS in Civil Engineering required MS in Geotechnical Engineering preferred PE license a plus, but not required Why Join My Client?
