Jackson, MI (Hybrid) About the Role We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to support High Voltage Distribution (HVD) Substations and Electric Distribution projects. This role is highly technical and involves managing the full lifecycle of complex engineering projects-from initial design and scope creation through construction and completion. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects from start to finish Develop scopes of work, review project estimates, and manage engineering deliverables Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure project success Monitor compliance with codes, standards, QA/QC policies, and performance requirements Review engineering deliverables and implement corrective actions when necessary Provide technical support to project managers and stakeholders Mentor project teams and support an Agile project delivery approach Assist in developing specifications for project equipment Participate in field visits and key project meetings as required Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) OR non-ABET degree with Professional Engineering (PE) license 5-7 years of experience in a Project Engineer or Project Manager role Experience handling complex projects across full lifecycle (design to construction) Strong experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams Knowledge of engineering design tools such as AutoCAD Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience with contract management and engineering deliverables Preferred Qualifications Background in Electrical Engineering, Electric Distribution, or Substations Experience with Project Management tools (e.g., Unifier, ProjectWise) Experience in Manufacturing Project Management (also considered) Familiarity with Agile project delivery methodologies
