Project Engineer

Hiring a Project Engineer (Richland, WA) Overview The Project Engineer supports project managers and field teams by coordinating documentation, communication, and daily project activities. This role manages project controls, works closely with subcontractors, and ensures accurate records throughout commercial construction projects. Key Responsibilities Support project planning and execution to align with plans, specs, and schedules Manage RFIs, submittals, ASIs, and field logs using Procore Maintain organized project documentation, drawings, logs, and reports Communicate with subcontractors to clarify scope and track progress Provide timely status updates, issue tracking, and risk reporting Assist with schedule updates and coordination with field teams Support cost reviews, change orders, and cost proposals Help draft and track subcontracts and purchase orders Review plans/specs to identify discrepancies and support field installation Participate in meetings, site walks, and quality reviews Coordinate and track RFIs and change orders to minimize schedule impacts Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering 5 years of commercial construction experience Experience with vertical builds and project engineering Proficiency with Procore Strong plan/spec review skills Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Comfortable working in both office and active jobsite environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with construction scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or similar) Knowledge of project controls, cost reviews, and subcontract administration Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Why Join the Team? 100% employer‑paid medical, dental, and vision for employee and family Life insurance, 401(k) with profit sharing, PTO, FSA Strong focus on professional development, long‑term career growth, and work‑life balance Work Environment Hybrid role with time split between office and active commercial construction jobsites. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
