Location:
Ontario, California (91761) Overview An employee-owned civil engineering organization is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer I/II to join its Ontario, California office. This role supports a broad range of land development and infrastructure projects, including residential, commercial, and public-sector work. The position emphasizes technical design, project coordination, and mentorship within a collaborative, quality-driven engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Develop engineering designs, calculations, and construction plans for grading, drainage, and utility systems. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and public agencies to ensure design accuracy and regulatory compliance. Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders during construction. Perform quality assurance reviews and oversee technical work completed by junior engineering staff. Contribute to a collaborative, problem-solving team environment focused on technical excellence. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. 5-7 years of professional civil engineering design experience in land development or site engineering. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
