Job Description

Senior-Level Geotechnical Engineer & Project Manager PA | Hybrid (3 days in-office) LVI Associates is partnered with a growing, employee ‑ owned engineering and environmental consulting firm seeking a Senior-Level Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to help lead and expand their geotechnical services. This is a high ‑ impact leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about applied geotechnical engineering and motivated to help build and shape a program, not just deliver projects. Role Overview This position is designed for a hands ‑ on, technically strong geotechnical professional who wants to take ownership, lead investigations, mentor others, and be a visible technical leader across the organization. You will play a critical role in establishing and growing a formal geotechnical program while remaining closely involved in day ‑ to ‑ day engineering and client interaction. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys applied engineering, problem ‑ solving, and collaboration and who is motivated by the opportunity to build something meaningful. What Our Client Is Looking For A senior or high ‑ potential geotechnical engineer with leadership ambition Someone who is passionate, driven, and motivated to grow a service line A professional comfortable being client ‑ facing and internally visible An engineer who values practical, real ‑ world geotechnical solutions over purely academic work Key Responsibilities Lead geotechnical investigations and applied analyses Serve as the technical leader for geotechnical services company ‑ wide Establish and help formalize a geotechnical engineering program Support and advise internal teams on geotechnical matters Engage with existing clients and support new opportunities Contribute to proposals, budgeting, and project setup (preferred, not required) Mentor junior engineers and support cross ‑ disciplinary collaboration Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical focus Master's degree strongly preferred 8-15+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience Proven experience leading geotechnical investigations Strong background in slope stability and settlement analysis Practical, applied geotechnical engineering experience Experience managing or helping establish geotechnical programs is a strong plus Ability to work in a hybrid model (minimum 3 days in-office) PE license preferred
