What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a Site/Civil Engineer to support a variety of projects in the Southeast region. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at Tampa, FL office. What you'll be challenged to do: GFT is seeking a Site/Civil Designer for our site development practice within the buildings & places business group. The position to participate in project teams for the planning, design, and construction administration of public and private projects. Clients and projects may be in various locations in the Southeast region. Candidate must have the flexibility to travel within the region periodically to help serve GFT's client base. This role supports a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Tampa, FL office. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Production of engineering and design deliverable in accordance with GFT procedures and standards for projects across the business line.
Collaborate with PMs and Senior Site/Civil Engineers to deliver successful projects to a variety of GFT clients.
Understanding and applying agency design standards in the design of civil infrastructure.
Using hydrologic and hydraulic programs (ICPR, HEC-RAS, Bentley software, etc.) in the analysis of storm water. Modeling water and wastewater systems (using WaterCAD and SewerCAD).
Writing Basis of Design or other reports related to support civil/site design.
Coordinating with other disciplines in the development of construction drawings and specifications.
Coordinating with internal and external clients.
Occasional travel (up to 10% of time) for field work and meetings.
