Sr. Civil Project Engineer Job Description We are seeking multiple Civil Project Engineers specializing in Land Development to join our dynamic team. These roles offer a 'Smart Hybrid' work model, allowing for a primarily remote work environment with the expectation of being commutable to an office location for team events, meetings, and client interactions. Our office locations include West Chester, Pennsylvania; Bellevue, WA; Naperville, IL; Puyallup, WA; Long Beach, CA; Ontario, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Tampa, FL; and Duluth, GA. The Civil Project Engineer will manage the planning, design, and construction of various civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Responsibilities Prepare construction plans, feasibility reports, cost estimates, drainage reports, and other project documents with minimal supervision. Coordinate with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit applications. Prepare grading plans, profiles, road designs, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Research regulatory requirements and design standards. Perform detailed and complex calculations for stormwater facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvements. Collaborate with drafters, designers, and administrative staff to complete projects on time and within budget. Develop site development plans for various projects including residential, commercial, industrial, multi-use complexes, and business parks. Update and manage spreadsheets, task lists, memos, and other materials related to internal programs. Support project administration by setting up new project numbers, organizing billing reports, preparing/tracking contracts, and following up on outstanding invoices. Participate in meetings to review project updates, receive assignments, and take notes as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a four-year college or university. Minimum of 5 years experience in civil engineering within an engineering or construction firm specializing in Land Development/Site Development. 5+ years of site development design experience. Proven track record in client interaction and management. Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading tools and creation of alignments, profiles, corridors, and surfaces. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for the project engineering role. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of stormwater, drainage, and grading design. Familiarity with site planning and design.
