Job Description
Job Description An employer is seeking a full-time Staff Engineer to support multidisciplinary engineering projects across the West Coast. This role supports civil, mechanical, chemical, and environmental engineering efforts related to environmental infrastructure, renewable energy, waste management, and monitoring systems. The Staff Engineer will assist with engineering analysis, drafting, cost estimating, environmental data review, reporting, and construction support activities under general supervision.

- Support engineering analyses, plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Prepare drawings using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- Assist with construction cost estimates and data analysis Collect and review environmental monitoring data (air, gas, groundwater)
- Support field inspections to ensure compliance with plans and regulations
- Assist with project coordination and general engineering tasks
- 15-20% travel; role is remote unless onsite at construction projects as needed in primarily CA (as well as potential for Hawaii & Arizona) We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.

- 0-3 years of relevant engineering or internship experience
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and eager to learn
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one
- Willingness to travel
- Local to CA, Arizona, or Reno
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or GIS
- Exposure to environmental engineering, waste management, renewable energy, or permitting
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification
- OSHA 40‑Hour
HAZWOPER
certification- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF editing tools (Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat)
- Local to Northern CA preferred or CA
