Position Overview The Structural Department Manager will lead and grow the firm's structural engineering practice. This individual will be responsible for managing staff, overseeing project delivery, and supporting business development efforts while maintaining strong relationships with clients and agency partners. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Structural Engineers and Designers Oversee the design and analysis of structures including bridges, culverts, buildings, and infrastructure components Direct and manage structural projects for local, county, and state agencies, including permitting and approvals Coordinate all phases of structural projects from planning through construction Support bridge inspections and related evaluations Prepare and review project proposals and support business development efforts Provide construction support, including contract administration, coordination, and budget oversight Manage project financials, including utilization, profitability, and reporting Drive growth and development of the structural engineering group Maintain and expand client relationships Represent the firm through participation in professional and community organizations Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field) Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (Pennsylvania required; additional state licensure a plus) 10+ years of relevant structural engineering experience Experience working with public sector clients and agencies Strong background in transportation or bridge-related projects preferred Proven experience in client management and business development Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively Preferred Qualifications Experience with structural design and analysis software Familiarity with DOT standards and agency requirements Working knowledge of CAD platforms such as AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience with bridge inspection and related programs What's Offered Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with company match Generous PTO and paid holidays Flexible/hybrid work arrangements Tuition reimbursement and professional development support Collaborative and team-oriented culture Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Water/ Wastewater Project Manager•Gresham, OR
