8 Tulsa, OK Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications Structural engineering practices Management Bachelor's degree in engineering Professional Engineer Full Job Description Freese and Nichols is continuing to grow our structural practice in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas and is seeking a Structural Discipline Lead in Oklahoma City or Tulsa to help expand our general structural presence, strengthen our technical capabilities, and support delivery of complex, high-impact projects. This is an opportunity for a strong technical leader who wants to build and lead a growing team, mentor engineers, and play a key role in project success across a broad range of structural applications, including water and wastewater, industrial, buildings, transportation support, and general infrastructure.   • Lead and grow the structural team over time, with discipline leadership across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas as the practice expands Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead structural analysis and design across a broad range of projects, including water and wastewater, industrial, buildings, transportation support, and general infrastructure Provide strong technical oversight through preparation and review of calculations, reports, plans, and specifications Ensure quality, consistency, and sound engineering judgment across deliverables and project execution Serve as a go-to resource for complex design challenges, technical problem-solving, and multidisciplinary coordination Project Leadership & Delivery Manage scope, schedule, and budget for structural projects and help ensure successful delivery across multiple concurrent assignments Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and regional leadership to align resources, priorities, and project needs Support structural work across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas, helping shape how that work is staffed and delivered as the team grows Team Leadership & Growth Help establish and grow a general structural team in Oklahoma City and Tulsa Mentor and develop engineers while helping set expectations for technical quality, collaboration, and professional growth Provide discipline leadership across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas as structural resources are added in those states Client & Team Collaboration Build strong relationships with project teams, clients, and partners while increasing local visibility for the structural practice Support client engagement and pursuits, including shortlist presentations, qualifications packages, and proposal support as needed Contribute to a culture of responsive service, technical quality, and collaboration Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred, with expectation to obtain SE licensure in Oklahoma if not already held 6+ years of structural design experience Strong technical, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while helping grow a team and practice Preferred Master's degree in Structural Engineering 8+ years of structural design experience Current Structural Engineer (SE) license Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams Experience mentoring staff and helping grow a structural practice or team About Freese and Nichols At the heart of our culture is our LEADS values ( L earn continuously, E ngage as family, A ct with integrity, D eliver quality, and S erve always).
