Job Title:
Structural Engineer (100% Remote) for Nuclear Power Projects About the Role Shape the future of sustainable energy! We're seeking a Structural Engineer to take on complex challenges in structural analysis and design for nuclear power projects. If you're passionate about precision engineering and want the flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S., this role offers both impact and freedom. Key Responsibilities Perform structural analysis for static and seismic load combinations, including response spectra. Design equipment and piping supports , structural frames, and foundations. Conduct piping or pipe support analysis per ASME Section III and B31.1 standards. Develop lifting assemblies , rigging plans, and crane designs. Apply AISC steel and ACI concrete design codes to ensure compliance and safety. Execute component stress analysis using tools such as GTSTRUDL or ANSYS . Review plant impacts and evaluate existing structures for retrofitting. Qualifications BS in Civil or Structural Engineering from a U.S.-accredited institution. 4+ years of experience (7+ preferred) in structural design and analysis for nuclear or industrial facilities. Strong understanding ofAISC , ASCE
, and related design codes. Proficiency in structural analysis tools and software; MathCAD experience preferred. Knowledge of static structural analysis , structural dynamics , and seismic analysis . Familiarity with Matlab and design review processes. Excellent communication skills for reports, calculations, and specifications. Additional Skills Experience with power plants , oil & gas , or LNG projects is a plus. Ability to produce detailed drawings and documentation. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $90.00/hr.
