Job Description
Overview A growing structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its fully remote team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning projects from concept through construction , working across a variety of building types, and operating in an environment with high autonomy and minimal micromanagement . You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver practical, efficient structural solutions across commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects. Key Responsibilities Lead structural design and analysis for a range of building projects from concept through construction administration Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical documentation in coordination with architects and project teams Perform lateral and seismic design in compliance with applicable codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, etc.) Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams Conduct site visits and provide construction support as needed Contribute to internal QA/QC processes and maintain high technical standards
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering 4-8+ years of structural engineering experience (buildings) Experience delivering projects across commercial, institutional, or mixed-use sectors Strong proficiency in structural analysis/design software (e.g., RISA, RAM, ETABS, or similar) Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD Solid understanding of U.S. building codes and design standards Ability to manage workload independently in a remote environment
Preferred:
