Job Description
An established, multidisciplinary engineering firm in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Structural Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of building projects throughout the region. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale commercial developments while collaborating closely with architects and internal design teams in a highly coordinated environment. Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design for commercial projects from early concept through construction Develop and validate gravity and lateral load paths , including detailed seismic analysis in accordance with current building codes Design structural systems utilizing steel, reinforced/post-tensioned concrete, and mass timber Partner closely with architects and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, efficient, and constructible design solutions Prepare construction documents, calculations, and specifications with a high level of accuracy and clarity Review drawings and provide technical oversight during project execution , including coordination with contractors and field teams Contribute to internal design discussions, quality control, and project delivery standards Qualifications Master's degree in Structural Engineering required Professional Engineer (PE) license required ; SE license strongly preferred Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale commercial building projects Strong working knowledge of seismic design, load calculations, and structural systems behavior Experience designing with steel, concrete, and mass timber systems Comfortable working in a collaborative, design-focused environment with frequent architect interaction Strong communication skills and ability to contribute to both technical delivery and team coordination Location Bend, Oregon (in-office or hybrid flexibility depending on project needs) Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Structural Engineer
