Mesa Associates, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to work with other members of the civil & structural team to deliver projects of varying complexity and size for our fossil and hydropower generating clients. Working in a team environment, daily tasks will include the design of additions and modifications to power generation related structural systems including: Structural calculations- developing design criteria and performing structural calculations to ensure adequate design capacity using various software packages (STAAD.Pro, STAAD Foundation, RAM Connection, spMats, spColumn, LPILE, SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, Mathcad, Excel, ENERCALC). Concrete foundation design
- rotating equipment, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, etc. Concrete anchorage design
- cast-in-place & post-installed. Structural steel design
- pipe bridges, pipe and cable tray supports, equipment support structures, elevated platforms, steel buildings, etc. Drawing package preparation
- AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, Plant 3D.
Successful candidates will be:
Well organized and self-motivated to complete tasks within agreed schedules. Creative thinkers with the ability to judge between alternate solutions to provide the optimal solution. Available to work overtime as necessary to meet project schedules and commitments. Available to travel out of town for project meetings and site visits.
