Job Description
Job Description Responsibilities:
- Work with Engineering, Construction Management, Quality, Commissioning, and other supporting functions in order to verify infrastructure designs and construction scopes of work are consistent with internal company specifications & standards and code / country requirements.
- Plan / coordinate system commissioning activities with Construction Managers and Quality / Commissioning team.
- Liaison between Engineering Program Managers, Engineers, Construction Managers, and Superintendents.
- Owns team communications & reporting.
- Determine project specifications and acquire the necessary materials for completion including drawing take-offs, ROM estimates, & initiate material procurement with Tesla Procurement team.
- Develop scope and define parameters for project execution in conjunction with Construction Managers.
- Owns RFI/Submittal Logs & establishes priorities.
- Initiates & tracks workflows (submittal approvals).
- Identify field installation discrepancies / issues and escalate to Construction Management team / Engineers.
- Reviews Schedules for accuracy & verifies field team updates & look aheads.
- Coordinate internal and external engineering findings to de-risk plant design and optimize plant operations and availability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5-7+ years in construction environment, in a mix of engineering and project roles, primarily focused on Site Development and Civil Infrastructure, Underground Utilities.
- Evidence of exceptional ability, including a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and demonstrated ability to leverage this understanding to solve challenging technical problems.
- Ability to work and communicate cross-functionally, including interfacing with suppliers and third-party firms.
- Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, occasionally requiring extended hours.
- Excellent computer skills & comprehension of MS Office, Primavera, and/or Autodesk products.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills - Will be tasked with highly confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to identify issues and develop corrective measures to resolve.
