Job Description

Structural Engineer (Building Design) A globally recognised structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing team. With an international footprint and a strong reputation for technical excellence, this firm delivers innovative, high-quality solutions across complex building projects. The organisation operates across several high-growth sectors, including mission critical facilities, aviation, and advanced manufacturing , offering engineers the opportunity to work on technically challenging and impactful projects. The Role This position is ideal for a motivated structural engineer with strong design experience who is ready to take on increased responsibility in project delivery, coordination, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design across a variety of building types Manage and coordinate design team members to deliver calculations and documentation Select structural systems and materials, and assist with specification development Coordinate with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations Prepare technical reports and contribute to diagnostic investigations and peer reviews Manage project tasks, schedules, and internal team coordination Attend client meetings and support ongoing business development efforts Requirements Bachelor's and Master's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural focus required) Minimum 4+ years of structural engineering experience in building design Active Professional Engineer (PE) licence in current state of residence Proficiency in structural design and modelling software such as RAM, Tekla, Revit, and BIM 360 Strong understanding of building codes and structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage workload effectively while contributing to team success What's on Offer Opportunity to work within a collaborative, high-performing engineering environment Strong emphasis on mentorship, professional development, and early responsibility Exposure to complex, multidisciplinary projects across key industries Competitive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage Life and disability insurance Retirement savings plan with employer contribution Paid time off and holidays Additional wellbeing and support programmes Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Senior Structural Engineer Power/Energy
