Civil Engineer - Land Development Job Description We are seeking a Civil Engineer - Land Development to join our team and take an active role in delivering industrial and commercial land development projects from concept through approval and construction. This position is ideal for an engineer who not only excels at design but can also manage projects, coordinate stakeholders, and drive permitting and approvals forward. Responsibilities Develop and issue engineering drawings, design documentation, and technical reports for industrial and commercial land development projects. Perform all engineering calculations related to site grading and drainage, stormwater management and stormwater control facilities, water quality design, domestic water distribution systems, and sanitary sewer and other underground utilities. Manage land development projects by tracking schedules, deliverables, and milestones. Lead and coordinate permitting efforts, including preparation and submission of applications and responses to agency comments. Actively push projects through entitlement and permitting processes by coordinating with municipalities, reviewing agencies, and project stakeholders. Coordinate with internal team members, clients, surveyors, and other consultants to ensure project progress and alignment. Support construction-phase services, including design revisions, clarifications, and responses to RFIs. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 2 or more years of experience in land development or site civil engineering. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Working knowledge of local and state permitting and approval processes. Proficiency with civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Work Environment The role involves engaging with a diverse team and coordinating with various stakeholders, including municipalities and review agencies. The position requires proficiency in civil design software and a strong understanding of local and state permitting processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bastrop, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
