Structural Engineer (PE) - Building Design & ForensicsDallas-Fort Worth, TX Structural Engineering | Building Sciences | Growth RoleA multidisciplinary engineering firm with a long history of delivering high‑quality structural design, forensic engineering, and building‑science consulting is seeking a PE‑licensed Structural Engineer to join its growing Texas team. The firm is known for its technical rigor, responsive client service, and ability to solve complex building challenges across a wide range of project types.
This role offers the opportunity to work on both structural design and forensic investigations, giving engineers a uniquely well‑rounded technical experience. The team is expanding to meet strong demand across Texas, creating a clear path for long‑term growth and leadership. What You'll DoPerform structural analysis and design for new buildings, renovations, and specialty structures.
Conduct forensic investigations of structural failures, building envelope issues, and construction defects.
Prepare written reports, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, attorneys, and property owners to deliver clear, actionable engineering solutions.
Provide QA/QC review of engineering work and support junior engineers as needed.
Participate in client meetings, site visits, and expert evaluations.
Manage projects, budgets, and schedules with a high degree of independence. What You BringActive Professional Engineer (PE) license.5-12+ years of structural engineering experience in building design, forensic engineering, or both.
Strong technical skills in structural analysis, materials behavior, and building systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in explaining technical concepts to non‑engineers.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively.
Curiosity, problem‑solving mindset, and interest in both design and investigative work.
