Job Description

Superintendent - Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) Fulltime Fort Worth, TX We have an immediate and exciting new job opening for 2 Superintendents (PEMB) to join our growing client's team and work out of their office located in Fort Worth, Texas. The PEMB Superintendent is the primary point of accountability on the jobsite. You own safe, efficient, quality-driven installation from groundbreaking through closeout — managing crews, subcontractors, schedules, and safety protocols to the standard we are known for. Responsibilities Field Operations & Project Execution Lead day-to-day field operations for PEMB erection and associated scope from mobilization through substantial completion Coordinate and sequence work activities to maintain project schedule, proactively identifying conflicts and communicating solutions to the Project Manager Manage site logistics including material deliveries, crane picks, and equipment staging to optimize workflow and minimize downtime Conduct daily field walks, document progress, and report status updates to the Project Manager and leadership team same business day Ensure all work is built per approved drawings, specifications, and manufacturer erection requirements Team & Subcontractor Management Direct, schedule, and hold accountable all field crews, ironworkers, laborers, and trade subcontractors assigned to the project Foster a high-performance, accountability-driven crew culture consistent with our values — mission over ego, team over individual Conduct daily toolbox talks and weekly crew meetings; document and distribute meeting notes Coordinate with foremen to ensure proper crew deployment and task completion Identify and escalate performance issues promptly; support HR and leadership in personnel matters as needed Safety & Compliance Enforce and champion our safety program, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety plans without exception Conduct and document daily safety inspections, jobsite hazard analyses (JHAs), and toolbox safety talks Immediately address and report all unsafe conditions, near-misses, and incidents per company protocol Maintain a zero-tolerance environment for safety violations Ensure all personnel hold current required certifications: OSHA 30, fall protection, rigging, and others as applicable Quality Control Verify all structural steel and PEMB components are installed to specification, plumb, level, and per engineer's design Coordinate third-party inspections, Special Inspections, and engineer site visits as required by the project Maintain punch list completion through final closeout Uphold quality standards on every phase of work — no exceptions Schedule & Cost Management Monitor project schedule and proactively identify risks; communicate changes to the Project Manager with proposed corrective actions Track daily labor hours, equipment utilization, and material consumption against budgeted targets Assist in the review and approval of subcontractor daily reports and time sheets Support all project closeout activities including punch list completion, final inspections, and owner walkthroughs Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of direct field supervision experience on PEMB construction projects Demonstrated knowledge of PEMB systems (Nucor, MBCI, Schulte Buildings, Alliance Buildings, or equivalent) Proficient in reading and interpreting structural drawings, erection drawings, and specifications Working knowledge of crane operations, rigging fundamentals, and heavy lifts OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to travel to project sites as required Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate proactively with project teams and leadership Preferred 10+ years of PEMB erection experience Prior experience as Lead Superintendent or General Superintendent on commercial or industrial projects Experience on aviation, institutional, or large-span industrial projects Familiarity with project management software (Procore, PlanGrid, or equivalent) First Aid / CPR certification •To view all of our open positions, please visit: Alleare Consulting .
