In this role, you will leverage your expertise in civil engineering principles to design, manage, and oversee construction projects that shape communities and enhance urban landscapes. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will drive project success from conception through completion. We are seeking a motivated professional ready to contribute to impactful projects, utilizing cutting-edge tools and techniques to deliver exceptional results. This role will assist in design and construction-related services, but are not connected with a specific construction project. These services shall include, but are not limited to; developing design criteria, fact finding studies, performing surveys and site investigations, project document development, design guide and facility standards interpretation, reviewing standards and policy documents, technical studies/review, cost estimation, and construction management/inspection including submittal reviews and contract modifications, etc. (This is not a Federal Job) Duties Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and schematics using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software to ensure precise design execution. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on project management tasks including construction management, scheduling, and system design to meet deadlines and quality standards. Conduct construction inspections and site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems), ArcGIS, and HEC (Hydrologic Engineering Center) tools for spatial analysis, water resource modeling, and land surveying activities. Prepare technical reports, estimates, and documentation using Mathcad and technical writing skills to support project proposals and regulatory submissions. Oversee geotechnical engineering assessments, hydraulics calculations, wastewater treatment processes, and water treatment system designs to optimize infrastructure performance. Collaborate on pipeline design projects by integrating system design principles with construction schematics for efficient implementation.Requirements:
Must be degreed in Engineering by a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and either licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.), by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico, or provide an adequate combination of Education and Experience. Personnel must be proficient in; drafting and the preparation of plans, preferably using AutoDesk products such as AutoCad, specification writing, preferably using SpecsIntact or other similar applications, and cost estimation, preferably using software such as RSMeans or E4Clicks. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe products such as Acrobat. Must hold a degree in Engineering, or related field, and must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering, project management, construction, or related field. At a minimum, personnel must show evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination and are qualified as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT). Personnel must have history evaluating complex and varied projects that represent the full range of construction and public works projects, e.g. water, sewage, roads, and providing professional engineering support to key partners. Work history must include; evidence of code research, analysis, interpretation, application of engineering concepts to technical issues and facilities improvements, experience managing construction contracts, cost control and manhour evaluations, risk assessment, quality control, site inspections, and code compliance.Pay:
