Your primary responsibilities will be to assist the lead Project Manager for work prescribed by contract while meeting set timeline requirements Exposed Design Group is a nationwide specialty contractor servicing the commercial, industrial, retail construction and remediation market. Exposed Design Group has been providing creative, efficient, and cost-conscious solutions for our clients and industry since 2009. Our services include concrete surface coatings, polishing, floor coverings (tile, VCT, carpet), joint and floor sealers, complete building envelope waterproofing and remediation. Project Engineer:
Support project setup, execution, and closeout in accordance with company standards and required timelines Prepare, maintain, and distribute Field Reports in a timely and accurate manner Assist with Project Management Sheets (PMS) updates and documentation control Develop and maintain takeoff maps, including revisions to reflect contracted scope versus bid scope Coordinate the preparation and submission of submittals upon Project Manager approval; track status through completion Organize and maintain project specification sheets and related documentation Request, track, and update the master project schedule in coordination with the General Contractor Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) as directed by the Project Manager Review and monitor all project changes, including CCDs, Change Orders, bulletins, addendums, and plan revisions; promptly communicate impacts to the Project Manager and document accordingly Update field reports and takeoffs to reflect pending/approved change orders Add budget to ERP system from estimating PMS sheet as directed by PM for PM final approval Coordinate with estimating to confirm all drawings, take offs and operationals Attend subcontractor and pre-construction meetings as required to support project coordination Maintain and update Project Planning Sheets (PPS) as requested Compile, organize, and maintain all project documentation, including safety records and closeout packages (e.g., warranties, as-builts), ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements Desired Skills, Experience and Traits Experience in estimating of construction projects Degree in construction management or related job experience Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Ability to read, understand and follow required construction documents Proficient in required construction software Excellent written and verbal skills Strong numerical and analytical skills Ability to work with external clients while using strong commercial awareness Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages Strong leadership attributes Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, coworkers and vendors.
