Job Overview:
The Project Engineer supports the execution of structural steel and related building scopes for mission-critical projects, including large-scale data center developments. The role is responsible for coordinating technical deliverables, tracking project progress, and ensuring alignment between engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction activities. This position begins with focused ownership of building deliverables and is structured to expand into broader, multi-discipline responsibilities over time. The Project Engineer develops technical expertise, cross-functional coordination skills, and project execution capabilities, supporting the successful delivery of complex projects while building toward future leadership roles within large-scale data center programs. This is a full time, direct placement opportunity and can offer relocation assistance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 3+ years of relevant experience supporting structural steel projects in industrial or data center environments. Strong technical knowledge of steel detailing, fabrication, erection, and associated building systems. Experience with document control, quantity takeoffs, submittals, RFIs, and change management. Familiarity with scheduling tools, BIM processes, and construction management software. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
