United States, Texas, Round Rock 810 Hesters Crossing Rd Ste 120 (Show on map) Apr 12, 2026 Primary Responsibilities HDR's Structural Engineer will: review structural documents for transportation/transit-related facilities for areas of conflict with all disciplines; write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and complete necessary calculations; independently coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project; establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance; conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines; take responsibility for coordinating workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule; coordinate and assist affected disciplines, with any addendum, requests for information, change proposal requests and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents; mentor junior staff with technical and professional development; and perform other duties as needed. Required Qualifications A Master's Degree Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related engineering field and 3 years of experience in structural engineering or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related engineering field and 5 years of experience in structural engineering. Experience must include proficiency in: structural analysis and design for steel and concrete; STAAD Pro; RAM Elements; RAM Structures; MATHCAD; AutoCAD; Revit; and Bluebeam. Must hold Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (in any US jurisdiction). Regional overnight travel up to once a month.
