Structural Senior Engineer - Lehi, UT We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager to lead structural design and deliver projects. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and client engagement—ideal for someone who enjoys both design and driving projects forward. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative, resilient infrastructure solutions across municipal, industrial, and commercial markets. Our portfolio includes schools, water treatment plants, universities, environmental structures, and many other types of facilities. With such a variety of work, you'll stay engaged and be continually challenged. Responsibilities Lead structural engineering for water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure Perform structural analysis and design using steel, concrete (reinforced/prestressed), masonry, wood, and light gauge steel Design deep and shallow foundations across a range of geotechnical conditions Develop plans, specifications, and support construction administration activities Manage project scope, budgets, and schedules while ensuring quality delivery Serve as a key point of contact for clients and maintain strong relationships Lead tasks on large projects and manage smaller projects independently Provide QA/QC oversight to maintain high technical standards Support business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities Collaborate with internal teams and lead project meetings Why This Role Stands Out Work on essential infrastructure that directly impacts communities Blend of technical design + project leadership Opportunity to grow client relationships and influence project delivery Exposure to diverse projects across water, wastewater, and industrial sectors
Job Requirements:
Basic Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field 8+ years of experience in managing, developing, designing and authoring water-related infrastructure projects Registration as a Professional Engineer in primary state of residence or ability to obtain within 6 months Strong oral and written communication skills Experience with structural analysis programs Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members Knowledge of regional design standards, construction practices, and geologic concerns All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Physical Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town Why
