Full-time Building Engineer II Job Type:

Starting at $30/hour (DOE) Hiring ASAP Job Summary We are currently hiring an experienced Building Engineer II to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and facility systems. This role requires advanced technical knowledge and hands-on experience with central HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and building operations. Responsibilities Operate and maintain central HVAC systems and related equipment Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, HVAC units, electrical, and plumbing systems Inspect facilities and ensure safe and efficient building operations Troubleshoot and repair building equipment and systems Monitor facility performance and maintain maintenance records and reports Coordinate facility support for meetings, events, and daily operations Communicate with supervisors and school/facility administration regarding maintenance needs Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards Recommend improvements related to equipment, maintenance procedures, and operations Qualifications Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facility maintenance Strong experience operating central HVAC systems NIULPE 3rd Class, Maryland 1st Class, or DC Operating Engineer License preferred HVAC Certification required/preferred Strong troubleshooting and technical repair skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, climb, kneel, and work in mechanical spaces Comfortable working in varying temperatures and facility conditions Requirements Background check required TB test required Must be available during emergency/weather-related operations when necessary Benefits Competitive starting pay at $30+/hour depending on experience Full-time stable employment Growth opportunities available Immediate hiring — qualified candidates encouraged to apply ASAP.
