Established for the purpose/s of operating and maintaining an attractive, healthy, safe and comfortable facility for students, staff and public; providing equipment and furniture arrangements for meetings, classroom activities and events; minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure; ensuring that assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.Responsibilities:
- Arranges furnishings and equipment (e.g. teacher moves, relocating classrooms, computer set up, etc.) in preparation of meetings, classroom activities, and special events.
- Attends meetings (e.g. workshops, in-service, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or receiving information.
- Communicates with the principal and supervisor on a daily basis to discuss work planned for that day.
- Coordinates requirements for special events (e.g. scheduling special events, meeting, building and facility safety, etc.) to ensure availability of facilities and/or equipment required.
- Informs school personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders to provide necessary information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations.
- Inspects school facilities to ensure the site is suitable for safe operations and maintained in an attractive and clean condition, identifying necessary repairs due to vandalism, equipment breakage, weather conditions, etc.
- Maintains a variety of documents (e.g. building inventories, building or equipment warranty, MSDS sheets, inspections, etc.) for an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance. .
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance on heating and air conditioning equipment (e.
