Field Engineer - Construction Surveyor

The Field Engineer is responsible for the site layout of projects, completing line and grade set up, and collaborates with the Superintendent and Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

Generates Requests for Information to clarify design drawings Computes small projects with no supervision Reads job plans and collects relevant data Produces accurate and precise calculations Understands and manages document control Operates instruments used in construction layout Completes duties for large projects following all SOP's with limited supervision Works with Engineering Layout Technician to generate all computations and as-built drawings Assists, trains and guides Field Engineer team Performs manual and non-manual labor in a construction environment Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be authorized to work in the United States Must have valid driver's license Must be able to perform manual labor and work in a construction environment 5-7 years of construction layout experience (preferred) Proven experience with all instruments used in layout Demonstrated proficiency in project computation Building layout experience preferred Century Concrete has been a top-performing concrete contractor for more than 50 years, employing a disciplined approach to project planning and execution through experienced professionals who understand the challenges of today's construction industry.
