As a CBRE Building Engineer, you play a vital role in keeping facilities running at peak performance. You'll be the go-to expert for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable building systems from HVAC and electrical to plumbing and structural components. This position sits within CBRE's Engineering & Technical Services function, where you'll support day-to-day operations, preventive maintenance, and critical repairs that keep everything functioning smoothly.What You'll Do:
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and fire/life safety systems Ensure all equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards Execute preventive maintenance tasks to maximize system reliability and extend equipment life Respond to emergency service requests and complete corrective repairs in a timely manner Monitor, maintain, and optimize energy management systems to support efficient building operations Inspect HVAC, fire alarm, and plumbing systems to verify performance within design specifications and client requirements Diagnose system issues and implement effective, sustainable solutions Maintain a clean, safe work environment and properly handle hazardous materials Support team members by sharing knowledge and demonstratingCBRE RISE

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. Why CBRE?
