Omaha, Nebraska Full-time (on-site) Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred OR 1+ years of experience in the mechanical construction industry Basic understanding of mechanical systems, construction drawings, and project coordination Job Summary The project engineer will support project managers and field teams in coordinating mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout. This role focuses on project documentation, scheduling, communication, and ensuring timely project execution. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical drawings and construction specifications Prepare and process project documentation including: RFIs Submittals Drawings Change orders Track and monitor document turnaround times Assist with project scheduling and schedule updates Visit job sites to monitor project progress and coordination Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams Assemble closeout documentation including: Commissioning documents Warranty documents Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals Maintain organized project records and documentation Support project completion within schedule and quality standards Required Skills Mechanical construction knowledge Construction documentation management Scheduling and coordination Ability to read blueprints and specifications Strong communication and organizational skills Attention to detail Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Safety & Work Environment Commitment to workplace safety OSHA/construction safety awareness preferred Drug-free workplace Industry Mechanical Construction / HVAC / MEP Construction
