Job Description

Job DescriptionTimmons Group is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Land Development team in Virginia Beach. The Project Engineer II/III will contribute to a wide range of land development projects—from residential neighborhoods to commercial developments and public spaces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems using Civil 3D and other modeling tools.

Performing engineering calculations and solving real-world design challenges.

Preparing technical specifications and construction documents.

Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion.

Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning.

Supporting field inspections and data collection.

Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results.

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.2+ years of experience in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.

EIT certification preferred.

Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or other CAD software.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Compensation:
 Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $82,000-$115,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.
