Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support heavy civil and site development projects throughout Virginia. This role will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to help manage project documentation, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals, and daily project operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy civil, underground utilities, roadway, grading, or infrastructure construction and be eager to grow within a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Assist with project management and field coordination Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders Support scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking efforts Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries Maintain project documentation and daily reports Review plans, specifications, and project drawings Work closely with field teams to ensure project progress and quality standards Support safety compliance and project closeout activities Qualifications 1-5 years of experience in heavy civil or construction projects Experience with site development, utilities, roadway, or infrastructure work preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or MS Project is a plus Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment What's Offered Competitive compensation package Career growth and advancement opportunities Strong project backlog and long-term stability Team-oriented culture with supportive leadership Full benefits package including PTO, health insurance, and 401(k) For additional information on this opportunity, please contact Tysen Banks directly at 531.201.4227 Resumes may be confidentially sent tysen.banks@gogpac.com
