We have a part-time opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer in our Camas, WA office.Job Summary:

You must be a team player who is willing to perform a wide variety of services (with training provided) in the practice areas of geotechnical investigation and construction inspection services. We would prefer someone with up to 10 years of experience, Candidates with 5-10 years of hands-on experience conducting geotechnical subsurface evaluations, laboratory testing, field data collection, and/or construction inspection projects are encouraged to apply. For these candidates, Certerra is well-suited to support you in developing and growing your geotechnical career. This role requires strong technical judgment, the ability to interpret construction documents, and clear communication with project managers, contractors, and clients. Perform geotechnical investigation. Perform geologic hazard assessment. Perform construction observation and testing. Perform geotechnical laboratory testing. Work outdoors in all weather conditions. Planning, scheduling, and conducting field investigations and laboratory testing. Data collection, data management, and record-keeping, including calibrating laboratory and field equipment. Prepare written reports and perform engineering analyses, applying analytical skills and technical knowledge of the principles of soil mechanics. Responsibilities and compensation will align with experience and certifications.Education/Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or related fields (with geotechnical engineering and/or engineering geology coursework).Certifications/Licenses:
Preferred certifications include (examples - not all are required) Geologist-In-Training or Registered Geologist Certification ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician ICC Reinforced Concrete Nuclear Density Gauge Candidates are not required to hold all listed certifications.
