We are a technical consulting firm serving the telecom construction industry, with a strong focus on fiber optic engineering, permitting, construction support, traffic control plans, fielding, as-builts, and related design services. Our work helps clients get projects designed, permitted, built, and closed out correctly. We are looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Sales Representative to help grow and manage our King County and Western Washington market . This person will work closely with our VP of Sales, who will continue focusing on larger and nationwide opportunities, while this role takes ownership of local and regional sales development. About the Role The Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and helping MGC expand its footprint throughout Western Washington. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys consultative sales, understands the value of long-term client relationships, and can communicate effectively with contractors, telecom providers, municipalities, utilities, developers, and project stakeholders. You do not need to be a telecom engineering expert on day one, but you do need to be willing to learn our services, understand client pain points, and represent MGC professionally in the market. Services You'll Be Selling MGC provides a range of technical services supporting telecom and construction projects, including: Fiber optic engineering and OSP design Permit drawing packages Traffic control plans Fielding and site investigation support Construction as-builts Pole attachment and utility coordination support Jurisdictional permitting support Construction management and inspection support Project support services for telecom, utility, and construction clients Responsibilities Develop and manage sales opportunities throughout King County and Western Washington. Build relationships with telecom providers, construction contractors, utility contractors, developers, municipalities, and other potential clients. Identify client needs and connect them with the appropriate MGC services. Maintain and grow relationships with existing regional clients. Coordinate with internal project managers, leadership, and production teams to ensure client expectations are understood and communicated clearly. Prepare or assist with proposals, pricing discussions, client follow-ups, and opportunity tracking. Attend client meetings, networking events, pre-bid meetings, and industry events as needed. Track sales activity, leads, opportunities, and follow-ups in company systems. Monitor regional construction, telecom, fiber, utility, and infrastructure activity for potential opportunities. Represent MGC professionally and consistently in the market. Work with the VP of Sales and leadership team to align local sales efforts with company growth goals. Requirements Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Comfortable prospecting, following up, and creating new business opportunities. Ability to understand technical services and explain them clearly to clients. Self-motivated and able to manage a regional sales territory. Strong organizational and follow-through skills. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and general CRM or tracking tools. Ability to attend local client meetings and industry events throughout Western Washington. Professional, dependable, and able to work well with both clients and internal teams. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Prior sales experience in telecom, construction, utilities, engineering, permitting, or professional services. Existing relationships in the Western Washington telecom, utility, construction, or infrastructure market. Familiarity with fiber optic construction, OSP engineering, permitting, or traffic control planning. Experience selling technical or project-based services. Experience working with contractors, municipalities, utilities, or telecom providers. Candidates with strong sales ability and a willingness to learn the industry are encouraged to apply, even if they do not have direct telecom experience. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable walking into a room, asking good questions, listening carefully, and figuring out how MGC can help solve a client's problem. We are looking for someone who can build trust, follow through consistently, and take ownership of a regional market without needing to be micromanaged. This role requires persistence, professionalism, and the ability to keep moving even when opportunities take time to develop. Compensation Compensation will depend on experience and may include a combination of base pay, commission, and/or performance-based incentives.

$75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
